• We  cut and polish our own gemstones, so many of our products  are unique and one-of-a-kind handmade items that you will not find anywhere else. Because there is no middleman the prices are very reasonable.
• We are a small family run business with a brick & mortar retail shop in Somerset West. If you buy from us, you can be sure we will honour our refunds and returns policy.
• We have been in business for the past 24 years. You can rest assured that you are buying from a solid, dependable business.
• This business started as Healths Bells, a gift shop and vegetarian restaurant in Knysna in June 2000 and was soon a popular destination shop for local and foreign tourists. Soon one outlet grew to another in Knysna, and Calypso in Somerset west. 

Why Calypso?

• From Greek mythology, Calypso was the sole the daughter of the Titan Oceanus, who lived on the island of Ogygia where she entertained the Greek hero Odysseus for seven years, showering him with love and precious gifts.  In the same way, we endeavour to bring you a range of precious offerings to brighten your life and soothe your tired soul.
• Calypso Gems Gifts & Decor operates as a crystal and gift shop at the Circle Centre in Somerset West. We have recently upgraded our website to include a shopping cart to allow for online purchases. We are slowly adding products to our cart.
• We are a popular destination shop and receive a lot of compliments on a daily basis.  People often say “this is my favourite shop”, “I love the beautiful energy and positivity in the shop”, “your staff are so friendly and helpful”.  So, if you don’t like shopping online and want to touch and feel the crystals and their energy, we encourage you to visit our shop at Circle Centre (off Caledon Street, Somerset West).
